The film follows the story of Clarence Worley (Christian Slater) a comic book store employee, and Alabama Whitman (Patricia Arquette) a call girl who after a ‘chance’ encounter and whirlwind romance, get married, setting off a chain of events involving stolen drugs, the mob, and a cast of colourful characters including Pimp Drexl Spivey (Gary Oldman).
One of Tarantino’s early feature Scripts and a rarity that he wrote but did not direct, He sold the screenplay in order to finance his Directorial debut feature film Reservoir Dogs.
His signature style is evident in the film's witty and rapid-fire dialogue and pop culture references and has some of the best opening scene dialogue to any film regarding Clarence’s take on The King- Elvis Presley!
